Buenos Aires, Dec. 23 (NA) — The national government officially appointed Carolina Píparo as the new director of the Banco de la Nación Argentina, replacing Rodolfo Carvajal, whose resignation was accepted as of Dec. 10. According to Decree 907/2025, published in the Official Gazette, Píparo took office on Dec. 11, and her term will extend until Jan. 1, 2028, to complete the legal period established in the entity's Organic Charter. Noticias Argentina agency was able to confirm that the decision was signed by President Javier Milei and Minister of Economy Luis Caputo on Dec. 22, along with other changes in the bank's leadership. In the same act, through Decree 903/2025, the resignation of Daniel Tillard as president of Banco Nación and that of Vice President Darío Wasserman were formalized, who was appointed as the new head of the state financial entity. Tillard and Wasserman had been appointed by the previous government, and their resignations were accepted with explicit thanks for the services provided, as stated in the official text.
